X-Carbon unlocks more MPG per tank - improving on new engine performance by 38%
May 7, 2024
X-Carbon aims to restore an engine's performance to near new standards, but testing is proving it can do far better than that.

The photo above is of the 2006 handbook provided on the purchase of the Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV 6 HSE 5D Auto. It shows the manufacturer's results for a new car for urban driving 21.4 mpg; extra-urban 33.2 mpg; and combined 27.6 mpg.

RunGreen's claims for X-Carbon's effectiveness is that it "restores engine performance to near new standards". Increasingly, however, we are gathering evidence that X-Carbon can improve a vehicle's performance to even higher standards, plus all the other benefits it brings.

On a recent trip from central London to Aintree and back, the 2006 Range Rover Sport travelled 446 miles using X-Carbon, and reported a far better performance than that expected by the manufacturer when new.

The results: 38 mpg versus 27.6 mpg in 2006 manufacturer's handbook

Compared with the expectations from the handbook (above) for a new 2006 Range RoverSport, it achieved an average of 38 mpg. This is:

•   10.4 more mpg than specified when new 18 years ago;

•   38% more mpg than for a new 2006 Range Rover Sport;

•   38% more miles in a tank;

•   An extra 192.4 miles per tank of diesel;

•   Saving £49 per tank of fuel at £1.55/litre;

•   Net saving of £35.50 per tank fuel after cost of X-Carbon.

Figures: The fuel tank takes 84 litres of diesel when full, at £1.55 a litre, with 17 ml of X-Carbon Boost (1:5000), costing £13.50 on the subscription offer. The dashboard "range" was photographed at each stage of the journey showing the computer's efforts at establishing how far the car could drive on the fuel remaining in the tank. In London the full tank estimated a range of 591 miles (c.32 mpg) and ended in London with 260 miles left in the tank, just under half full on the fuel gauge, having travelled 446 miles with an average speed of 56.7 mph.

Conclusion

X-Carbon has been used regularly in this vehicle's fuel for four years, so the engine has been thoroughly cleaned by the product. Its current performance not only demonstrates that it has been restored to its original manufactured standards, but these have been improved upon, continuing to minimise fuel costs.

Not only this, but we know with X-Carbon, a smoother running, better performing engine means lower maintenance costs, which is where one see the benefits at every annual MOT test. The car has also needed no other engine maintenance or repairs in between MOT tests since using X-Carbon. Meanwhile, the emissions have been cut dramatically, so that it not only passes its emissions test every MOT with ease, but it is far kinder to the environment than anyone could expect and theoretically is likely to be ULEZ compliant despite its age and model.
